Embroidery Workshop

This class was held at Pineapple Palace in Thatcham

(on 20/04/2015- my blogging is not as good as my sewing, hence the delay in this post)

A lovely way to spend a morning relaxing with a spot of embroidery!

This is what a group busy of women chose to do on a Well Woman Day.

Nothing like a few chain stitches and a natter to chill you out.

There may have been a few knots and wobbles along the way but a satisfying

and creative couple hours.

Heads down concentrating!

Just a few comments that the girls made

‘fantastic class, I really enjoyed it’
‘I LOVED it!!!!!!
‘A fantastic experience-really good to have a product at the end to take away’.

I would happily run this course again. So if you are looking for a get together with a difference and think you might like to try this contact me, debbie@stitchworkshop.co.uk

workshop, sewing machines
looking a bit nervous before we start (or maybe it’s just because they are on camera!)

We set about with a quick lesson on how to wind a bobbin, thread our machine and check tension. We then practiced some straight lines, turning corners and following a curve.

We then chose the fabric, made our inner pillows, which were filled with ½ volume lavender (from Yorkshire Lavender Ltd) and ½ volume Mouldmaster toy filling.

Katrina, Ginette and Jacqui, Relaxed and happy with their finished eye pillows.

“Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon last Friday at the sewing workshop.

Although I didn’t manage to get my machine out over the weekend I do feel so much more confident about what to do! Considering I’ve had the machine for 2 years and been too afraid to use it I consider Friday a great success.

My daughters were so impressed with the lavender pillow.

I cannot fault the course or tuition. It was very friendly & relaxed, and I would love to join you again on a future course.
